The #1 Wedding REGRET couples have post-wedding. HOW TO AVOID THIS!

Want to avoid a HUGE headache with your wedding? AVOID as much stress as possible? Here is the #1 Mistake we see couples make.

HIRING A NON-PROFESSIONAL FOR A VITAL VENDOR ROLE.

  1. BAR+ALCOHOL

-This could mean hiring a friend who does bartending for fun, or as a side gig being SOLELY in charge of your alcohol and serving responsibilities!

Here is how this can go wrong

-Are they going to be on time to set up the bar? This can take over an hour.

-Are they going to be responsible and sober at the end of the night and able to tear down the bar, pack up left-over alcohol, disposing of bottles/cans?

-Do they have a class 1 license for serving/alcohol?

2. MUSIC

Having a friend or guest be in charge of running a playlist for music and having NO DJ.

Here is how this can go wrong

-What if your friend is late?

- What if the internet connection cuts out and you have no service?

-Does your friend know sound systems and tech CONFIDENTLY?

-What if the person you put in charge of this is in the bathroom when you start your 1st dance, no music will be playing?

-WHAT IF THEY GET DRUNK?! There are just so many bad scenarios that can happen with not having a professional sound person.

3.) FOOD

-They may not calculate enough to have adequate amounts of food.

-They don't have enough servers to efficiently and timely serve your guests, leading to REALLY long guest lines for dinner

-What happens with all the left over food? Do they have the setup and products to package up leftovers?

-Will they cleanup/tear down garbage from catering, and clean the catering kitchen?

IF NOT, you will end up with a large venue fine.

WHY IS THIS BAD?!

You want your wedding day to be as STRESS FREE as possible. Having to worry about crucial vendors not executing on the level you need them to, while your wedding is going, is not what you want to do handle. And at that point, it's too late to negate/fix anything.

Hope this helps, happy planning!
